Mitzvah Project

"L'dor Va Dor: Sharing Stories Generation to Generation"

Madelyn, with the help of friends and family, is compiling a collection of traditional Jewish folktales read aloud on video and available worldwide on the internet.  With this project, she is preserving the heritage of story telling, introducing these tales to a new generation and preserving them in a new medium for the future.  Also, be sure to see her unique generation-to-generation project, in which one story is told by six different individuals in succession, much like a game of telephone, demonstrating how a narrative evolves as it is passed from person to person.  Visit her YouTube channel, Madelyn's Bat Mitzvah

 Madelyn,
As this is an opportunity to celebrate all your Jewish studies thus far, I trust the event will inspire you to continue in your Jewish life with much pride in your heritage and the desire to contribute to the Jewish world. I'm certain you will have a great deal to offer. As such you would greatly honor your great grandmother Miriam, my mother, as her first great grandchild.
You did beautifully today. I truly admire your choice of a mitzvah project and look forward to opportunities to get to know you better!
